Be sure & wear closed shoes.  Cavern floor is damp.  You must keep your hands OFF the cavern walls and structures!  You will need to get in habit of  holding on to the rail.

San Antonio Public Library
·         We are in indulgent with you at our libraries.  Libraries are QUIET!  Patrons are studying, working, or reading – they should not be disturbed.  Please respect the patrons and library rules.
·         There are four beautiful main pieces of art –
o   Caballo Tamaño Grande by Fernando Botero
One of Latin America’s most famous artist, Fernando Botero.  A painter and sculptor who is known for rounded playful forms and political art. His work is exhibited in many galleries and museums in the world.  Please go online and check out his other works
o   Fiesta Tower by Dale Chihuly
This sculpture commemorates 100th anniversary as a library system. There are 917 glass pieces.  Dale Chihuly's studio has completed more than 100 public installations around the world.  Again, go online and learn more about his art.  There is also a Chihuly piece at San Antonio Museum of Art.
o   Days by Jesse Amado
o   Mural by Jesse Treviño
o   Axis Mundi by Sebastian

San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA)
NO food, drink, gum allowed in museum and all backpacks, coats, pens, markers will stay on bus.  Must stay at least 12 inches from art and gallery walls.  Voices must be low and 10 students must have a chaperone and docent.  Tour will last @50 minutes and then you will have one hour and fifteen minutes to tour the museum.  Remember – quiet and do not disturb.  Others may be listening to the tour on tape while others may be in a group with a docent.

You may not be able to take photographs in certain areas or certain works of art.  Please respect all museum rules.  Silence your phone.  Go online & check the current exhibits at SAMA.  If lucky we’ll see Kuhn, Chihuly, & Rivera.

The Liberty at Southtown/King William
Is a more nicer and grown-up restaurant.  It’s got an interesting history – it used to be a convent.

As always – we know you will behave appropriately and we’ll have a fun time at all events
